Munch a Brunch

Red Flannel Hash, patties and Bloody Moskowitz were on the menu this morning, two recipes from Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s “Vegan Brunch.”

Jim started the hash with little cubes of beets and potatoes.

They get some onions, spicing and then into the oven for a spell.

20110724-015358.jpgI whipped up a batch of Isa’s vegan Bloody Marys using Rain organic vodka. No brisket au jus like Otto’s slips in, not even a veggie Worcestershire sauce but these are THE BEST! Her recipe includes two cool secret ingredients that make them lip smacking yummy.

The heat wave moderated just long enough for us to eat in the dry backyard.

It’s hard to share our scrumptious brunch since the computer is in the shop. I will reformat these posts if they look terrible so please be patient until then — thanks.
